I suppose this could seem like a "favorite series" thread, but with a slight twist...what series take up most of your game collection?

For me:
Mario games (too many to count)
Sonic games (6 or 7)
Ratchet & Clank (5 games)
Contra (7 games)
Kirby games (6 games)
Tales of... (4 games)
The Legend of Zelda (5 games)

Hmm...good thread idea!

I am not sure myself, but Suikoden would be near the top.

Not only do I have the 5 main games in the series, but I own Suikoden Tactics as well. Only thing i'm missing are the japanese only games.

By the way, how is Suikoden Tactics, compared to Disgaea? I was thinking about making that next on my SRPG list since it's easier to come by than the NIS games I'm looking for.

Anyway, I was bored, so I counted my Mario games.

Platformers:13
Sports/Racing: 8
Other: 6
Total: 27

"Other" is pretty much the RPGs, Dr. Mario, and Mario & Sonic at the Olympics. I didn't even count stuff like the first Wario Land even though it says "Super Mario Land 3" or "Yoshi" for NES or that kind of stuff.

LOL... I totally forgot about Mario!

I must have at least 10 Mario related games, possibly more. Gonna have to check one of these days.

6 or 7 Final Fantasy games. And, technically, I own nothing but RPGs. Minus Rock Band, Guitar Hero 3, Phoenix Wright, Cooking Mama, Trauma Center, and Nintendogs.

I don't have most of the recent games though, but you already knew that Wink

I dunno, to be honest with you. I don't really follow one series as I used to. I guess I'd have to say either the Hitman series or MGS series, since they both came in their trilogy sets, lol

Probably my WWF/WWE smackdown games. I used to be a big time fan of pro wrestling.

LOL...I have 4 of the WWE games for PS2 myself!

The first 3 ones, and also Smackdown VS Raw 2006.

Here Comes The Pain was my favorite of the bunch, since it had the best gameplay in my opinion.

I bought every Smackdown game sequentially, but now I only have SD Vs. Raw 2006. I hated 2007 and 2008, but Here Comes the Pain, SD Vs. Raw, and 2006 are all awesome.

I also did the same thing with the Gamecube wrestling games, went from Wrestlemania X8 to Day of Reckoning 2, but I don't have any of them anymore.

Here Comes The Pain will always be the best of the series.

yeah I have the first 2 SD games on the PS1, Shut your mouth, HCTP, WWE SD VS Raw, and WWE SD Vs Raw 2006. I've yet to try out 2007 and 2008.

2008 isn't bad but it isn't that good either... I used to have most of the WWE games but now I just have 2008. I don't play it though.

2008 wasn't even that great from what I have heard, but Here Comes The Pain was the only game in the series that I was ever truly addicted to anyway.

I played 2008 for like 5 minutes and quit. That's how bad it was. 2007 just threw me off with the new grappling system, and I never got used to it, which is why I don't like it.

The various Warriors games?

I am not sure what you are talking about. Do you mean Dragon Warrior or something else?

Sounds more to me like Dynasty/Samurai Warriors, but I dunno, I'm just taking a guess. Dynasty Warriors 4, DW4 Empires, and DW: Gundam are the only Warriors games I care to own myself.

My guess would be Dynasty Warriors...

Anyway, the Starfox series takes up most of my space. Next in line would be Metroid.

Wow, there weren't even that many Starfox games made.

There was 1 for SNES,1 for 64, 1 or 2 for for Gamecube, and...that's it I think?

Great series though, minus that adventure game anyway.

Dude, that's awesome!

I am glad to hear that i'm not the only one who found Here Comes The Pain to be the best Smackdown!

None of the other games even come close in my opinion.

Final Fantasy (3DS, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 10.2, 11 + Expansions [x2], 12, 12DS, CC)

Mario (Mario Bros [VC], Mario Allstars, Mario World, Mario World 2, Mario 64 [VC], MKDD, MKDS, Mario Galaxy, Paper Mario 2, Super Paper Mario)

Zelda (LttP, OoT, OoT Master Quest, WW, Zelda Collection, TP, PH)

The Sims (The Sims, Livin' it up, Hot Date, Makin' Magic, Complete Collection)

Those are the only ones I can think of with 5 or more.
