Recent Album purchases
For every album purchased, you should tell us about it in this thread.
My last purchases earlier this month were:
Danzig: Black Aria for $7.99 Used
µ-Ziq - In Pine Effect for $6.99 Used
Spocks Beard - Day For Night for $6.99 Used
and I got Danzig for free, since I get a free CD for every 10 that I buy.
The total with tax was around $15

Re: Recent Album purchases
The last album I bought was No World Order by Gamma Ray back in december.
The price was $4.99 used, and it's an amazing album if you ask me!

Last two CDs I've bought were Fall Out Boy (not their latest one but the one before it) and Dark Light- HIM. Both were $14 at the Wal-Mart. Good CDs I think.

This isn't yet, but i'm planning to visit the CD store over the next few days and try to place pre-orders on the new Opeth and Leviathan CD's, possibly pick up a few other CD's while i'm there.

Re: Recent Album purchases
*BUMP*
So... yesterday evening (Sunday evening) I was at the CD store, and I ended up buying 4 used CD's. They were:
Marillion - Six of One, Half-Dozen of the Other for $4.99 used
Fish - Sunsets on Empire for $4.99 used
Cocteau Twins -VictoriaLand for $6.99 used
King Diamond - In Concert '87 for $6.99 used
The total was about $25 with the tax.
Also I tried to preorder the new Opeth and Leviathan, but no dice on either yet.
I'll try again in a few weeks.

Re: Recent Album purchases
I recently ordered Gamma Ray's "Power Plant" album, the 2003 remastered version with 3 bonus tracks. It probably didn't ship until today so I won't have it for a few days. Cost me $18 after shipping and tax, but from what I've heard on the album, it's definately gonna be worth it.

Re: Recent Album purchases
Just got Static-X's latest album, Cannibal. Wow, the shit is TEEEEEEEEERRIBLE!!!! I do like the Thrash and Grind influences...but...that hardly saves the album at all. I'd rather listen to St. Anger than this bullshit.

Re: Recent Album purchases
LOL for buying Static-X! They always were terrible, with utterly worthless lyrics. They even make some other Nu-Metal groups look good by comparison, and Nu-Metal as a whole is terrible!
By the way, get a damn avatar already! It's creeping me out seeing you without one!

Re: Recent Album purchases
I bought Gamma Ray's Sigh No More album a few days ago for $5.99 used. I mainly bought it because it was cheap, but also because I couldn't find the Helloween album I was looking for, so I settled for something similar.

Re: Recent Album purchases
How do you like it btw?
Sigh No More was back when Gamma Ray still had that Ralf guy singing, and he's not too bad. Still, I like Kai's vocals better.

I'm just now listening to it, I'm on track 4, (We Won't) Stop the War. So far it's pretty good, but I have to agree that Kai is a much better vocalist.

I bought Helloween's Walls of Jericho, the 2CD expanded edition for $11.40 new on Ebay. Can't wait for it to get here so I can put even more awesome music on my MP3 player.

Re: Recent Album purchases
Damn, that's better than the version I have!
Mine only has the Helloween E.P together with Walls Of Jericho, but that 2 CD version has like 10 more tracks...most of which are unreleased I believe. Maybe I can find a copy for cheap.

Re: Recent Album purchases
I haven't gotten that yet, but I've bought 2 more albums:
Gamma Ray - Land of the Free II $14.99 new
Anthrax - The Anthrology $12.95 used
Listening to Gamma Ray right now, it's pretty damn good. I bought The Anthrology because I'm not sure where to start when it comes to finding good Anthrax albums, but I've heard Among the Living is their best from multiple people, so I got this to get some songs from that album as well as others.

Re: Recent Album purchases
The only Anthrax that's worthwhile are the 80's albums if you ask me.
After that, they started getting too hardcore etc.
Also, glad to hear you like the new Gamma Ray! Haven't had the chance to hear that one yet.

I bought The Glorious Burden by Iced Earth for $8.95 used. Been looking for it for a while, and that's the cheapest I've seen it around here.

Re: Recent Album purchases
That's not a bad album, but the patriotic themes can be a bit overbearing on some songs.
At least it's not as obnoxious as Hillbilly Patriot country lol
Plus, Iced Earth makes music I like!

Re: Recent Album purchases
Two more additions to my collection:
Gamma Ray - Majestic $8.99 used
Nocturnal Rites - The 8th Sin $14.99 new
I bought Gamma Ray on Ebay so it's not here yet, but I'm about to listen to Nocturnal Rites right now. I'd heard a few songs and I wanted to grab an album, but The 8th Sin is the only one I've found locally so far.
