Do you consider yourself a music snob?

Some folks out there have pretty diverse tastes in music, while others only like a specific genre or 2 of music. Others still are what would be called "scenesters" The people who hop on the band-wagons for the latest trends, just because they are popular and want to look cool.

Do you consider yourself a musical snob at all, for what reason would you say that you are?

I wouldn't say, but I did get into Dream Theater because of everyone talking about them at VGC. I like recommendations though, since I like to get into new stuff.

As for "jumping on the bandwagon", it's not for me. I remember when I loved rap music, now I hate it. I'm glad I matured to get into different genres of music, and not jump into what everyone likes.

But yeah, recommend me stuff whenever you want. Omni showed me to many of the bands I like now.

Hey! Not all rap or country sucks...just most of the stuff you are likely to hear on the radio these days!

I'm not a music snob... I like most music. And just because I don't like a group or genre doesn't mean it sucks. Like with GNR, I don't like them. At all. But sure, there is like a song or two I like. And apparently people must like them since I heard people are petitioning for that new album to be released soon.

Something being popular doesn't mean it's good, you know?

GnR is alright, but I was never huge on them or anything.

Not to mention that "new album" is the Duke Nukem Forever of the music world.

Yeah I know. Duke Nukem Forever? That went over my head.



Hell, I'm more happy about NKOTB releasing a new CD than GNR.

At least G'n'R had some real talent involved, as Slash is actually a pretty damn good guitarist.

Then again, he is no longer in the band either...sooo yeah.

I guess I'd be considered somewhat of a snob, since I only listen to metal, or at the very least hard rock, and I'm really only open to suggestions within the genres that I like. I've tried getting into new music, but having to sift through a bunch of mainstream crap just to find one good album isn't really worth it, so I just go with bands that I KNOW are similar to bands I listen to rather than just trying a band that I've never heard of before.

Lmfao. So true. I asked my friend how long has Chinese Democracy been under works and he said that it's closing in on a decade now! I'd say that's how long DNF has been under wraps. WTFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFF

The latest is that Axl is apparently blaming his record company for the most recent delays.

Dunno when or if the album will ever finally be out.
