Who here makes their own music?

While I can think of at least one person here who makes music, I will let them indentify themselves!

How about the rest of you though, do any of you make music by yourselves or in a band?

If so, what programs do you use when creating music on the computer?

I personally have made some music in the past, but not for something like 6 years now.

My old work was primarily Ambient, and I actually liked a lot of it!

All of it was recorded as live improv, and the only editing I did was cutting the session into individual songs.

Unfortunately, it may all be lost now...

I'm thinking of making my own music, but I need the equipment for it. And finding it is the big problem. I would make music just for the fun of it. Most probably breakcore because I just love that genre.

It really depends on the type of music you are planning to make.

with so many freeware programs out there now, almost everyone could give music creation a shot...with vastly varying results of course!

Yeah I'm not sure what program I would need to make breakcore music. It's a lot of mixing around and a lot of noises and music sounds to make in order to put them together.

Hopefully one day I will post a link to my very first creation.

Hopefully I burned it to a CD somewhere for safekeeping, or maybe an old friend still has it.

When I get a spare moment, i'm going to try downloading Buzz again. That's a pretty good, and fairly easy to use music creator if anyone is interested.

I used to have a myspace for a fake band I made. I remember making one song which was horribly bad.

Anyway, I lead a band called "Twisted Gun Riots" as the lead guitarist.

there's 5 people in the band. The others do not want thier names disclosed. They say it's for "security." Pussies, in my opinion. Meh, they didn't ask for it.

There's Me, der. I play the steel strings, der derr derrrrr. there's a few occasions where I'm a back up singer...

The lead singer's the elder of the group, being 18 and married already.

Drummer is easily mistaken for the drummer from FOB. Literaly, he's just shorter...

Rythymist is about my heighth, hair's a bit longer, and is a good firend of mine. He's taking up bass to help.

The keyboardist is our newest addition. the kid plays a mean piano, and has been the bass for a while.


We've yet to get anything recorded for real, but we play hella good.

The school I go to is holdin' a "talent show" the... first week of March. I signed up the band for a single song, since that's the only thing the place'll take.

At least top prize is $100 for each person doing the show.

Not really. There's a billion little "Fitty's" running around, each even less talented than the real one.

Mainstream rap is freaking terrible, especially these days.

Last year I wrote a piece that had parts for violin, recorder, and bongos (lol). I think I still have the sheets lying around somewhere.

lol, no man. The band was called Flippin Fat Guys, I made up like a bunch of fake band members. Messiah being one, Diamond Dollar, and a few others I can't recall. But I deleted the profile some time ago.
