Shaiya- A Free MMORPG

I was wondering who has heard of this game. It caught my eye yesterday and I finally downloaded it tonight. The file size is like 953MB. I read on the site that it's a game of the year for 2007 or something like that. Graphics look nice and the storyline might prove to be good. I haven't tried it yet, but I'm sure before Wednesday night I will have my verdict. Right now though, it's updating the files.

I looked into that game a few days ago, but I have my doubts that it'd run well on my computer.

The specifications looked a little TOO steep for me.

Let me know how it is though, and maybe i'll try it anyway.

Ok, my verdict. I played for about ten minutes and I will say, it seems pretty good. Grave, I say you should look into downloading it. Then we can play on there.

How smoothly did it play?

Was there a lot of slowdown and shit, or was it pretty good overall?

At the beginning it was a little slow, but overall, I'd say it's fairly decent speedwise. Also, I noticed that the monster will respawn after a few minutes. Don't know what will happen when you go into a town or anything though... You really should get it.

So it's like WOW? Hmm, I've never played WOW, but I might have to try this game out, since it's free and all.

I haven't played WoW at all, so I wouldn't know. If you do get it, we should exchange names and all. There's only one server so we should all start at close to the same part. My character's name is Liztress on there and I joined the evil side. ^_^ Just so you know.

I will try to register up tomorrow, but I have my doubts on how well the game would play on this computer.

Either way, it's still worth a try I think

What graphics card do you have?

A really crappy and outdated one that came with my computer.

I downloaded the game, I unzipped it with filzip and it froze on me. So I turned my computer off. Now I can't delete the install file of the failed attempt.

So my question is this. How do you delete a file that is either corrupted or unreadable?

You know... I've had this problem before and the only thing I could do was a complete system recovery. Did you try cutting the file and moving it to the recycle bin?

Another idea would be to try rebooting in safemode, and see if you can delete the file then.

Besides that, I really dunno

I got that all resolved. Downloaded some program called Unlocker.

Anyways my computer is getting slower, so I don't think I'll install this game. When I get my new computer, if I ever do, then I will. I'll just use this computer for the small things like internet, chat, forums, mail, blah.

What about Starcraft?

Did you ever get that set up? I would definitely be up for a game tonight if you can do it.

Yeah, my disc for SC wont load for me. I'll wait until I get a new computer, whenever that day comes.
