What books are everyone reading right now?

Personally, I have been reading 13 Phantasms by James P Blaylock for the past 3 months months off and on. Excellent book, made up of short stories.

Well, I'm not reading anything at the moment. But I did finish Twilight and New Moon, both by Stephanie Meyer. Good books, I need the third one now.

Never heard of either of those. Can you tell me anything on what they are about?

Girly story. It's a romance novel set with vampires and werewolves. Honestly, the two I read are better than I expected.

Ahh, I see. At least it sounds a little bit better than those crappy romance novels with Fabio on the cover.

Still not exactly my thing though lol

Lol Fabio, he's been immortalized by EGM for having made an old Nintendo game cover.

Also, romance stories with werewolves and vampires? That's the godamnest awesomest thing I've ever heard lol.

I'm reading Blaze by Stephen King, although written as his alter ego, Richard Bachman. This is actually an OLD story he wrote at the age of 25 but discarded it after he decided he didn't like it. After reading it years later, he thought it was actually pretty good, so he released it this year.

But, well it goes on during some years back, so it's kinda weird lol. Then again most if SK's stories always occur in the seventies and eighties. The classic ones anyway. Cell wasn't that classic! XD

The story is about a man named Blaze who's like, mentally retarded, due to his dad beating the shit out of him when he was young. He had a friend, Goerge, and both of them ran shenanigans and petty crime to get by. George is always pissed at Blaze for fucking up-kinda reminds me of Mice and Men gone wrong lol.

Thing is...George has been dead for a bit now, but Blaze still like, talks to him...you'd think this would be a pretty normal story about a slow man and his life without the guy who looked after him, but nooooooooooooooooooooooo, he has to HEAR shit lol.

It's great. Smile

In the process of reading The Steep Approach to Garbadale, by Iain Banks. It's awesome so far, just like the others I've read by him. Smile

Well, besides the EGM and OPM magazines, I've been rereading the Twilight series for when the fourth book comes out. I need to get some more books, as I have read and reread all the ones I got.

Just reading some Star Wars book that was a "limited time only" download from some Star Wars site.

Apparently it's an official Lucas Film liscenced book, so I guess they are hoping you'll buy more after you read this.

Let me try to find a link for those who are interested.

I tend to go to fanfiction.net and read those stories. Some of the ones based off Twilight have been good.

I don't even know what the hell Twilight is!

I have been to fanfiction.net a bit though, and some of the stories are quite good. Many seem terrible though.
